Cementitious Pump Screeds from PSC Flooring

Our Cementitious Pump Screeds can be laid to a thickness of between 6mm to 20mm and up to 2000 square meters per day. This product is ideal for renovating old or badly damaged floors within the shortest time possible. The floor is very quick drying and allows foot traffic within a few hours of it being laid down. Vehicle traffic is able to be received after 24 hours.

Case Study
An example application of our Cementitious Pump Screeds is at DTR VMS Ltd in Trowbridge,Wiltshire. The company had outgrown their previous facility in Chippingham and needed to relocate to a much larger facility. Their new premises was very run down and required extensive refurbishment, including the 8000 square metre concrete floor. The flooring was very worn and uneven, which was a problem for DTR VMS Ltd as they required a very hard wearing, flat, durable floor surface to withstand high levels of forklift traffic and production usage. Speed of installation was the key factor, so PSC Flooring Ltd specified a 7mm heavy duty, cementitious pump screed, followed by two coats of HB epoxy resin in order to meet the brief and complete the installation in a very tight timescale.
The Procedure:
● All the floors were heavily shot-blasted and all areas were thoroughly repaired, swept and vacuumed cleaned
● All expansion joints were recut and repaired using epoxy mortar compound.
● An epoxy resin primer was then laid to the total floor area.
● A 7mm heavy duty cementitious pump screed: was laid with approximately 2000 square
metres laid per day.
● Once the pump screed was dry and all expansion joints reintroduced, then two coats of HB epoxy resin was laid, using light grey for all production areas.
The project was completed in 4 weeks, on time and in budget, providing DTR VMS Ltd with a fully refurbished, very durable, hard wearing surface that can be used for many years to come.
