Benniman Construction Ltd – Barton Firtop Extension – Engineering & Manufacturing Flooring
It’s not every week, we get to work on a sizeable job, 500 metres away from our offices. We were delighted to be asked back to refurbish Barton Firtop Ltd, new extension floor after we completed 5,000 metres for their new factory in 2021. Long-time client Benniman Construction Ltd called on PSC Flooring as they were leading on the extension project for Barton Firtop, a world-leading manufacturer of filtration products. The new extension will be used for manufacturing and distribution. It’s great to help a fellow Wyre Forest business expand.
Client Brief and Recommendation
The new 1900 square metre concrete slab was only 21 days old, and as such would require a light shotblasting to clean and key before the application of a two coat Moisture Tolerant High Build Coating System.
In Preparation
The 1900 square meter area underwent a light shotblast procedure using a completely enclosed ride-on shotblasting machine, while all the edges were meticulously prepared using a hand-held diamond grinder. Following this, the entire area was meticulously vacuumed to eliminate all residues and dust.

Once fully prepared the 1900 square metre area received two coats of Resdev Pumatect MT, Moisture Tolerant High Build Epoxy Resin in the clients chosen light grey colour scheme.
I’m thrilled to share that the project was successfully finished in only 10 working days, right on schedule and within the budget.
