Roger Dyson Ltd – Stoke Prior – Vehicle Workshop Flooring
Its always great to be called in to look at additional work from an existing client. In this case long term client Roger Dyson Ltd asked us to look at a 245 square metre workshop over in Stoke Prior. The space had been previously used for manufacturing and the floor was particularly dirty.
Client Brief and Recommendation
The client was looking for a clean and easy to keep clean floor that would be hardwearing. At the site visit it was noted there was extensive build-up of swarf, dirt and grease that would need to be removed before the recommended coating system was laid. A two coat high build system is ideal for workshops as when cured the surface is extremely hardwearing Impervious to oil and grease, easy to clean and budget friendly.
In Preparation
To prepare for the two-coat High Build Epoxy Resin Flooring System, we thoroughly prepared the existing concrete floor. We used our captive Husqvarna diamond grinders to remove dirt and ensure proper adhesion. We meticulously cleaned the edgework with a fully enclosed handheld 110v diamond grinder. Then, we vacuumed the entire area to remove all residues and dust. Additionally, we repaired any localised damage, including cracks and holes, using epoxy mortar compound and epoxy resin screed as needed.
245 SQM of Vehicle Workshop Flooring System
The entire floor was given two coats of KDR Epicoat in the clients chosen light grey.
Completed in just 3 days – on time, and within budget!
