Interspace Limited – Engineering and Manufacturing Flooring
Interspace Ltd a Commercial Interiors Specialist providing to SME businesses throughout London with alterations, fit outs, and office refurbishments.
Called in to look at refurbishing floor surfaces as part of the end of tenancy dilapidation clause at a 1080 square metre unit in Barking. The previous tenant had moved out and the landlord required a new flooring system perfect for light industrial use. Looking at the floor it was recommended to install an epoxy resin two coat flooring system.
In order to prepare the floor surface, two separate areas totalling 67 square metres had the carpet tile adhesive removed using a handheld diamond grinding machine before the whole area was given a light to medium shotblast via the totally enclosed ride on shotblasting preparation system. The edges were then prepared by diamond grinding.
All residues and dust were vacuumed clean, and repairs were made to any localised damaged concrete, bolt holes, cracks, as required using epoxy mortar compound and epoxy resin screed. Once complete we laid two coats of Resdev Pumatect, high build epoxy resin flooring system, in the clients chosen mid grey Ral 7046, in gloss.
Completed in 3 working days, the unit was completely transformed ready for the tenant to move in.
