Hymix Ltd – Engineering and Manufacturing Flooring
Hymix Ltd are a manufacturer of cement mixing vehicles based in Telford called PSC Flooring in to look at their 1400 square meter manufacturing facility as part of a refurbishment project. Looking for a minimum of 10 year lifespan, the client required the floor to be exceptionally hard wearing, maintenance free, easy to clean, able to withstand heavy machinery and traffic and scratch resistant.
The existing concrete floor required shot blasting and extensive repair before applying 2 coats of Damp Proof Membrane to A 6mm Heavy Duty ResDev RT Polyurethane Screed in the clients chosen mid grey was then laid, with an additional coat of ResDev Pumadur DD Polyurethane coating system in clear silk to ensure the floor could withstand the high impact of such a busy and heavy-duty production area.
A safety yellow demarcation line around the 1-meter wide perimeter and walkways in the chosen safety yellow colour as well as zebra crossings by the shutter doorways was installed to meet Health and Safety Executive guidelines.
Completed on time, within budget and within the given timescale the extensive floor refurbishment along with the overall building makeover completely changed the building.
