Long-time client Benniman Construction Ltd called on PSC Flooring to carry out installation of a new epoxy resin flooring system to a new warehouse/production plant they were building for Barton Firtop Engineering Company Limited.
Barton Firtop, a world leading manufacturer of filtration products, engaged Benniman Construction Ltd to build a 3,700 square metre facility on their newly acquired 3.6 acres site on Silverwoods Way, Kidderminster.
As with all substrates the new 3000 square metre concrete slab was prepared using the ride on shotblasting machine. The 3000 square metre area was given a light shotblast using a totally enclosed ride on shotblasting machine and all the edges were prepared using a hand-held diamond grinder. The area was then vacuumed clean to remove all residues and dust before two coats of Resdev Pumaprime DPM epoxy primer were installed to prevent moisture rising from the newly laid concrete slab.
The 3000 square metre area was then divided into sections as per the clients’ requirements and two coats of Resdev Pumatect high build epoxy resin were applied in the clients chosen light grey and safety red colour scheme.
The entire job was completed in just 10 days straight to meet with the tight timescale set by the client.
