PSC Flooring were delighted to be invited to renovate 550 square meters of Warehouse Flooring for Colins Design & Build Limited of Hereford. Collins Design and Build offer the complete package from consultancy to construction, operating across Commercial, Industrial and Agricultural sectors.
The client was looking to completely renovate the old worn floor into a hard wearing, easy to clean, practical warehouse floor. We recommended the multiple layers of failed floor paint the floor were removed using PCD discs and standard diamond grinding discs and a two coat high build warehouse flooring system be installed.
In preparation for the two coat High Build Epoxy Resin system, the failed floor paint was removed using PCD discs. PCD (Polycrystalline Diamond) discs are high-performance grinding discs designed to aggressively prepare the surface. Specifically used to remove tough coatings like epoxy, glue, bitumen, and paint from concrete without clogging. The entire 550sqm floor surface was then fully diamond ground. Using a captive double headed diamond grinding machine, and handheld 110v diamond grinder.
135 linear metres of joints were then filled
Now fully prepared the entire floor surface was given two coats of KDR Epocoat High Build Epoxy Resin, completing a big transformation, ready for all machinery to be assembled next week.
