FM Cosmetics UK Ltd called PSC to assess a new 950-square-metre warehouse space in Greenford, Middlesex, London. FM Cosmetics UK Ltd is part of the rapidly growing FM GROUP in the perfume market.
FM Cosmetics wanted a hard-wearing, impact-resistant, fully chemical-resistant, smooth, and easy-to-clean resin floor that would last for many years. Since chemical resistance is crucial in the cosmetics trade, we recommended a two-coat High Build Epoxy Resin Flooring System. This system provides excellent resistance to oil, grease, and chemicals, ensuring that spills can be easily cleaned without damaging the floor.
To prepare for the recommended 2-coat High Build Epoxy Resin Flooring System, we extensively prepared the old concrete floor using our specialised equipment. We employed our captive Husqvarna diamond grinders to thoroughly remove any grime from the concrete and ensure optimal adhesion. Additionally, we meticulously ground back all edgework using a completely enclosed handheld 110v diamond grinder, followed by a thorough vacuuming of the entire area to remove all residues and dust. We skilfully repaired any localised damaged concrete, large cracks, and holes using epoxy mortar compound and epoxy resin screed as necessary.
The 950 square metre area was then given two coats of Resdev Pumatect High Build Epoxy Resin in the client’s chosen mid grey.
The client was so pleased they have just asked us to quote the rest of the factory.
