PSC Flooring have recently completed 520 square metres of commercial flooring at a new Space Station storage facility in Godalming near Guildford for repeat client Rise Up Construction. Rise Up Construction are a main contractor operating across the United Kingdom, delivering high-quality commercial construction projects.
This particular project was a conversion of an existing data centre into a self-storage facility. The end client was looking for a hard wearing, easy to clean flooring option that would be suitable for a busy storage facility. At the site visit it was noted that there was layers of failed floor paint that would need to be removed, as well as approximately 400 deep holes that would need to be infilled. It was recommended that the floor be diamond ground using a captive diamond grinding machine and the holes be filled with an epoxy resin screed and flattened off before two coats of High Build Epoxy Resin Commercial Flooring be laid.
In Preparation for the recommended High Build Epoxy Resin Commercial Flooring, all failed floor paint was removed using our captive diamond grinding machine. The entire floor was then vacuumed clean to remove any dust and particulates. Approximately 400 deep holes were then infilled along with any localised cracks using epoxy resin screed.
The entire space (approximately 520 square metres over various floors) was then given two coats of KDR Epocoat High Build Epoxy Resin in the clients chosen light grey Ral 7004. Leaving a minimum of 14 hours between each coat to cure.
The work was completed over various floors over two separate phases to work around the contractor’s schedule. Providing the new facility with a hard wearing, aesthetically pleasing, easy to clean resin floor.
