PSC Flooring were delighted to be invited by SNAP Studios Ltd to look at their spacious 2,000 square foot studio/ filming/ event space in N1, Hoxton, London.
The client was looking to refurbish the studio space. The floor space in this beautiful traditional 4 story building was in the process of full renovation and the client required an easy to clean, light reflective floor that could handle to copious amounts of equipment used in the photography industry. PSC recommended a nominal 3mm SL resin screed, as this is hard wearing, light reflective and easy to keep clean.
In preparation for the 3mm SL resin screed, the existing floor was cleaned and prepared using a diamond grinding floor surface preparation system. Repairs were then made to any localised damaged concrete and then a 6mm x 6mm channel saw cut was made to toe in the screed. The floor area was then primed using a Resdev Pumaprime DPM (Damp Proof Membrane).
A nominal 3mm Resdev Pumathane SL resin screed, in the clients chosen Midnight Blue to entrance area and grey to studio area was then laid. To finish off the area a Resdev Pumathane HB polyurethane coating system was applied to the steps in doorway.
The work was completed in just 3 days, on-time and within budget.
