PSC is pleased to reaffirm our partnership with T Quality, a leading national UK food wholesaler renowned for its delivery, online ordering, and collection services across the Fish & Chips, Fast Food, and Hospitality sectors. This time we have been working on 820 square metres of warehouse flooring at their distribution facility located in Peterborough.

Client Brief and Recommendation

As with previous works for T Quality, it became clear that an exceptionally durable and low-maintenance flooring solution was vital for their high-traffic food distribution warehouse. Our inspection identified multiple layers of deteriorated floor coatings that required thorough removal to pave the way for the implementation of a robust two-coat High Build Epoxy Resin Flooring system. Consistent with our previous successful collaborations, the installation was meticulously organized into two distinct phases executed on Fridays and Saturdays, effectively limiting any potential disruptions to operations.

In Preparation

To guarantee optimal conditions for the recommended 2-coat High Build Epoxy Resin Flooring System, our skilled team undertook the grinding of the existing concrete floor with state-of-the-art Husqvarna diamond grinders. This precise process entailed the removal of failed floor paint and a substantial accumulation of grime, ensuring the concrete substrate was primed for maximum adhesion with the coating system. We carried out detailed edgework preparation, including the areas beneath racking, utilizing a fully enclosed handheld 110v diamond grinder. Following this, we conducted an exhaustive cleaning of the entire workspace to eliminate all residues and dust. Furthermore, any localized concrete damage, including large cracks and holes, was adeptly repaired using Epoxy Mortar Compound.

820 Square metres of Warehouse Flooring

We proceeded to apply two layers of Resdev Pumatect High Build Epoxy Resin over the entire 820-square-metre area in the client’s chosen Chelsea Blue colour. The Peterborough project was completed efficiently within the designated Friday and Saturday timeframe, ensuring that operations could seamlessly resume by Monday morning.

Additional phases were strategically scheduled over subsequent weekends to further minimize disruptions at the active depot. The client expressed high satisfaction with the results and indicated plans to utilize our services for refurbishing further warehouse depots later in the year
