PSC Flooring were delighted to refurbish 200 square metres of Vehicle Workshop Flooring for Toyota Main Dealer WR Davies Toyota at their Stafford branch in the West Midlands.
At the site visit it was evident the existing epoxy resin coating system was very worn and broken. The old resin floor would need to be thoroughly removed, and the concrete slab prepared using the totally enclosed diamond grinding machine. The client was looking for a hard wearing, vehicle friendly floor that would be easy to clean and keep clean. The recommendation was for a two-coat high build system to keep within their budget and the work be carried out over a Friday -Sunday to minimise disruption for them.
In preparation for the recommended two-coat high build system the floor was thoroughly cleaned and ground back using our diamond grinding machinery. Repairs were then made to localised holes and cracks using polyurethane jointing compound.
The entire 200sqm floor area was given two coats of Resdev Pumatect high build epoxy resin in the clients chosen Mid Grey colour scheme and a 300mm wide demarcation band was marked out and laid around the MOT Bay was laid in Safety Yellow.
The project was completed over a Friday to Sunday to minimise disruption for the client.
Unfortunately, the clients heater broke so we were unable to install the black chevrons to the MOT Bay and demarcation lines around the ramps, so we will return to complete these in the near future. Overall, another great resin installation by PSC Flooring
