Ezi-Dock™ Systems Limited – Warehouse Flooring
PSC Flooring were called in to refurbish 500 square metres of warehouse for a manufacturer of products for processing, handling, and storage of semi-bulk Powders & Liquids for the pharmaceutical industry, in Nottingham. The brief from the client was they required a high gloss, hard wearing an easy to clean resin floor. The existing concrete was coated with an old floor paint that had become very worn and flaky.
The old floor was firstly a totally enclosed ride on shotblasting machine and a double headed diamond grinding machine, with the edges being prepared using a handheld diamond grinding machine, to remove the paint and to clean and prepare the concrete. Once fully vacuumed clean and joints were repaired using polyurethane mortar compound and two coats of Resdev Pumatect high build epoxy in mid grey was laid. The job was completed with two coats of Resdev Pumatect high build epoxy resin coating system to the walkway in the clients chosen Chelsea Blue.
The total project took 4 days to complete and was on time and on budget and provided the client with an epoxy resin floor that is attractive, hard wearing, easy to clean and transformed the new warehouse area.
